Armstrong Energy Global breaks ground on its second project in India

Armstrong Energy Global is pleased to announce that it has commenced construction of its second plant at Hatnura. The plant will have an installed capacity of 5 MWp, and is being built by Chemtrols, using First Solar panels, and should be completed by the end of 2014.

Speaking as the project broke ground, Ram Nandakumar, the Managing Director or Armstrong Energy Global said, ‘we have proved with our first project at Rajahmundry that we have a team that can deliver projects on the ground. We are now taking the lessons learned from that project and implementing them on this, our second project. We are confident that the project will be successfully delivered on time and on budget.’

Once installed, the project will generate enough power to meet all the electricity needs of approximately 50,000 people in India.
